Our journey began long before we opened this restaurant, Antojito MX in Michigan City. It started in my grandmother's kitchen in Mexico, where she taught my mother that cooking is a way of expressing love. My mother learned the secrets of preparing traditional Mexican dishes, which inspired her to open her own restaurant, where she raised us surrounded by aromas, flavors, and warmth.
As children, my mother prepared the same dishes that my grandmother Rosa taught her, including tamales, mole, and rich sauces. Every meal was a lesson in history and family culture, deeply rooted in our heritage.
Today, with our menu featuring antojitos we proudly follow that legacy. Every dish we serve honors those strong women who instilled in us the belief that good food is not just made with ingredients but with heart.
